Dr. Abdullatif Al-Wasel, CEO of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, highlighted the importance of Saudi participation in reinforcing strong cultural ties with Qatar.
He noted that the fair offers a valuable platform for collaboration in literature, publishing, and translation, especially amid growing intellectual and cultural developments in both countries.
Al-Wasel also pointed out the exhibition’s role in supporting the publishing market and enabling Saudi publishers to network globally.
The fair, launched in 1972 and made international in 1982, serves as a global hub for knowledge exchange and intercultural dialogue.
